Hard Pressed Hash and Kief with our Piecemaker!!!

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

The HashMaster and MadHasher think this toy is cool. Now that your stash is cured you can press it and impress all of your friends. We have cool designs like Zodiac, Yin Yang and Hemp Leaf discs. While it takes a little bit of manpower the outcome is a nice solid piece of HASH.

Read on to see what it’s all bout.

PERFECTLY MANUFACTURED STAINLESS STEEL PRESS  made from 100 % tasteless and food-safe stainless steel

EXTREMELY HIGH-GRADE STEEL (X10CRNIS189)  3,000 kg maximum pressure – no deformation of the material

NO LOSS OF MATERIAL  Tenth-of-a-millimeter exact fit

ROLLED THREAD  No abrasion – no metal pieces

Through modern, high tech sifting utilizing the Pollinator or Ice-o-lator methods, anyone  can produce high quality trichomes. To protect you product from degrading and mold it is  important to press it.

When pressing the trichomes gently with minimal heat, few of the resin glands will burst, and  the natural amber color of the fine crystals does not change. Only gentle mechanical  pressure creates a kind of “crust” that protects trichomes from oxidization and  degradation.

The 6 piece steel press is comprised of a handle, screw, tamper, headpiece, cartridge, and a  base. It also includes 2 pressing foils and an extra foil.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1)      Unscrew base

2)      Insert larger piece of foil in base to prevent sticking

3)      Unscrew handle to create a space in the cartridge

4)      Insert the tamper onto the screw in the cartridge and place the smaller foil on it

5)      Fill the space with up to 22 grams of material

6)      Screw on the base

7)      Screw down handle to press, when it becomes difficult to turn the handle, let the Piecemaker sit for about 5 minutes and repeat.

Under normal conditions neither a vise nor heat need to be applied to create your “piece”.  If your material is old or contains many impurities you can add heat with a hairdryer, very low oven or set it on a room heater or heat vent and  press it a second time.

The stamp is an extra accessory. To stamp you piece, remove the base and insert the  stamp, and press again

MAINTENANCE  Occasionally oil the screw with machine oil. The cartridge and the base are dishwasher  safe.

The Amazing BubbleMaster instructions…

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Instructions???!!! Instructions???!!! We don’t need no stinkin’ instructions.

Well the Baked Duchess would like to pass them onto you anyway. Formerly Bubbleator now the new and improved BubbleMaster. Note that our bags are made in Vancouver BC in a facility that stitches outerwear for our fair mountains. The quality is outstanding and they last and last and last.

Here goes.

Included with your BUBBLEMASTER 3 bag system:

• Pyramid work bag 220mc

• Cleaner bag 220mc

• Crystal catching bags 70 & 38

• Extra bags available depending on model: 185mc for additional filtration; 120, 90, 45 & 25 for additional separation

Additional requirements:

• 1 x 5 gallon bucket

• Paper towels or clean cotton dish towel

• 1 bag ice cubes, enough to keep the water temperature down to 4C (41F) or that ice remains floating in the water

• stainless steel Kitchen sieve so the product will dry faster

The Process:

1) Place your BubbleMaster on the kitchen counter and the bucket in the sink. Place the screen bags in the bucket, from finest to coarsest (numbers in ascending order).

2) Fill the BubbleMaster with 1/2 a bag of ice and add cold water to 3/4 full.

3) Set the BubbleMaster to run for 2 minutes to mix the ice and water.

3) Fill the pyramid bag with up to 300 grams of frozen leaf material (fresh or dry) and place it in the BubbleMaster and set the timer for 3-8 minutes, rest for 10 minutes then repeat 2 more times.

4) open the lid and squeeze all the water out of the leaf material in the pyramid bag. Hang the hose in the bucket and let the BubbleMaster drain.

5) Hook the hose back onto the BubbleMaster . Remove the 220mc cleaner bag from the bucket, it will contain only leaf material. Remove the second bag, dunk it into the water 3 or 4 times, to collect all the crystals in the center of the screen. Gently squeeze all the water out by hand first, then wrap the screen in a piece of paper towel or clean dish towel, pat gently to avoid mashing crystals into the screen. If you have multiple crystal catching bags, then repeat for each bag.

6) Remove the crystals from the bag, place them in the kitchen sieve and push them through (with a spoon) onto a piece of paper or brown cardboard. This insures that the crystals are separated and dry quickly and evenly. Allow 48+ hours for complete drying to avoid molding. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the additional screen bags.

It is recommended that you repeat the washing process up to 3 times with each pyramid bag fill, but ensure that the water has ice floating in it. You should rinse all of the screen bags with cold water immediately after use. If you feel that the holes in the screens are clogging up, use alcohol (96%) on a piece of cloth to gently clean the screen.

Additional Tips;

-Always ensure that your water is cold enough, there should be ice floating in the water at all times.

-Be sure to rinse your BubbleMaster well after your last run…lots of crystal can get caught up in the washer and the hose -  let this water, along with the last run water, sit in the bucket overnight and gather the “mud” in the morning. You can use this mud for oils, butter or cooking.

The amazing BubbleMaster automatic ice and water seperator.

The Baked Duchess wants you all to know that after you tumble your material and extract all you can from your PollenMaster Dry Tumbling System, refreeze your material overnight and then bung it into this  handy little machine. The BubbleMaster (formerly the Bubbleator) ice and water extractor does all the agitating work needed to separate resin from material. You can repeat this process 3 x and still get product. Remeber though that too much ice can hinder your yield as well as not enough ice. Also after draining the last wash rinse out your machine because alot of trichomes can get caught in the drum and hose…of course all of this cannot be done without the IceMaster masterly stitched right here in Vancouver BC.

The Superb PollenMaster instructions…

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Hello to all from sunny Vancouver, the Baked Duchess has kindly forwarded us her easy to follow instructions ( uugghh who read instructions???).

PollenMaster Instructions

  1. Before using the PollenMaster machine we highly recommend that you freeze your material for 2+ hours in a plastic bag. This will harden your plant material allowing the resin to freeze and fall from the plant material easier, making the sieving process considerably more efficient. Leaf should be separated from stem and tumbled separately. When tumbling stems they should be cut into 1-2 inch pieces.

2.  Now that leaf material is ready to be sifted you can open the lid of the PollenMaster and then gently lift the drum out.

Note: Lift the drum out on the opposite side of the motor first.

3.  Now that you have removed the drum you can open it to insert your leaf material.  The lid of the drum is magnetically attached so you may need to firmly pull it off.   Close the lid of the drum and then gently put the drum back in the PollenMaster, motor side first.

4.  You can now turn on your PollenMaster. We recommend the first session be between 2-5 minutes in order to collect the purest quality of fallen resin glands. A kitchen timer should be used to keep track of the sifting sessions. Stems should be tumbled for a longer period of time due to the fact that there is no plant matter that can be broken down and get through the screen and pollute your end product.

5.  Remove the drum and using a clean paint brush, gently brush all the trichomes into a pile and use a card to pick up the trichomes and seal in an airtight jar for optimum freshness.
